It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through a clean.

It's extremely quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is simple to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop you must pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that inform you that it was starting and finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the requirement to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxes.
